Silver Eyes

by Malcolm, under Poetry

Beware of those with silver eyes

The mirrors that seek behind doors closed

They walk and walk without nay a candle

To find the house they chose

Beware of those with silver eyes

Arising in the dawn’s early light

They walk and walk without nary a pace

To tear that deadly rose

Beware of those with silver eyes

Reflecting bitterly in the night

They walk and walk brandishing irons

To meet the melting sparrow

Beware of those with silver eyes

Who bear the weight of dead songs

They stand under stars for a eon

Watching the glinting sapphires
